Family Therapy

Family relationships are often difficult to navigate. Troubles frequently arise during major life transitions and developmental milestones. Family therapy works to help family members improve communication and resolve conflicts.

In family therapy, you will learn the skills you need to get through the stressful times and to deepen relationships. You may work to generally improve troubled relationships or to address specific issues such as conflict between parents and children, life transitions, caring for sick or elderly family members, or the effects of substance abuse or a mental illness on the entire family.

Families in therapy will learn new ways to interact and overcome unhealthy patterns for the benefit of the entire family.
